Carbonxt Group Limited has increased its ownership interest in the Kentucky activated carbon facility to 45.9% with an additional investment of US$750,000. Construction of the kiln is complete, with refractory installation in progress, and the facility is expected to be operational in November. This expansion is projected to increase group sales by around 200% and allow entry into the liquid-phase activated carbon market. The facility is strategically important for meeting tightening U.S. EPA standards and the growing demand for sustainable supply chains. The Managing Director, Warren Murphy, highlighted the importance of this investment in positioning the company as a key player in the activated carbon market. The next steps include completing the kiln treatment, commissioning power systems, producing activated carbon samples, and progressing to commercial production in early 2026.
